From Modest Beginnings to Community Hub

The East Greenbush Community Library grew from mid-20th-century association libraries, formally established as a public library district in 1988.

A purpose-built facility opened on Community Way in 2001, expanding services and spaces for all ages.

Today, the library serves East Greenbush and contracted users in the Town of Schodack and is a member of the Upper Hudson Library System.
