The Book Lovers Adult Reading Challenge begins January 5, 2026!
Expand your reading horizons by reading one book per month based on monthly themes throughout the year. Enjoy book recommendations and displays each month at the library. Read for all twelve months and earn an official Book Lovers zippered pouch!
Register for the challenge using Beanstack, an online program and app that allows participants to log their reading throughout the year. For patrons who do not wish to participate online, paper challenge booklets will be available in the library beginning January 5th.

January: Pulitzer Prize Winners
February: 19th Century Books
March: Time Travel
April: Books that Take Place in a Library or Bookstore
May: Debut Book
June: LGBTQ Author or Character
July: Classic Retelling
August: Island Setting
September: Historic Event
October: Indigenous Author and/or Character
November: Nebula Award Winners and Nominees
December: Animals Pictured on the Cover
Online Registration
1. Go to eastgreenbushlibrary.beanstack.org starting January 5th.
2. Click on register an individual or family and enter your information.
3. Register additional family members by choosing register another adult when prompted.
4. Choose the challenge you would like to participate in, and click register for this challenge.
5. Upon registration, each individual will receive their first badge and be able to begin logging reading.
