Storytime

Children and their caregivers are invited to join us at at the library for songs, stories, and rhymes! No registration is required.

*Please note: Storytime is cancelled if East Greenbush schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather.*

Family Storytime (Ages 0-5)

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays @ 10am
April 21 – May 21

Baby Storytime (Ages 0-18 months)

Select Fridays @ 10:30am
April 24 and May 8

Playtime (Ages 0-5)

Select weekdays @ 11am

Storytime FAQ

Do I need to sign up in advance?
No, our Storytimes do not require registration.

Do I need to stay with my child during the program?
Yes, we encourage you to participate with your child and have fun! Grown ups who are engaged with books are wonderful role models for their children.

What should I do if my child is not paying attention?
It is not expected that your child will participate in every activity. Sometimes children just like to watch! However, if they see you participating, they eventually will too.

What if we’re having a rough day?
That’s okay! Feel free to leave the room at any time and return when your child is ready. It’s also okay to try again another day. We encourage you to do what works best for you and your family.

Is there Storytime when it snows?
If East Greenbush schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather, we cancel Storytime for that day.
