Join the Conversation: Community Advisory Council

Strong libraries are built through strong community voices.

The Community Advisory Council (CAC) serves in an advisory role to the Library, bringing together local business leaders, educators, nonprofit representatives, and engaged community members to help shape the future of the East Greenbush Community Library.

What Does the Council Do?

The CAC meets quarterly to:

  • Provide feedback on draft policies for consideration by the Library Board of Trustees
  • Share insights on emerging community needs and priorities
  • Discuss local challenges and opportunities
  • Help inform future library services, programs, and partnerships

Through thoughtful, round-robin conversations, Council members ensure the Library remains responsive, innovative, and aligned with the evolving needs of East Greenbush.

Why It Matters

The Library is more than a building — it’s a reflection of the community it serves. Your perspective helps strengthen programs, improve services, and ensure the Library continues to be a welcoming, relevant, and forward-thinking resource for all.

Add Your Voice

We invite community members who care about education, business development, civic engagement, and lifelong learning to join the conversation.

If you are interested in serving on the Community Advisory Council, we’d love to hear from you.

Help shape what’s next. Join the conversation.
