New carpet in Non-Fiction area complete!

Week 2 of the interior carpet project went well. New carpet has been installed in the Non-Fiction area, and the walls have been freshly painted. Most of the Adult Non-Fiction collection will be available again starting on Monday.

As with many renovation projects, a few surprises came up. Crews found a small issue with an exterior wall behind the shelving. Repairs are already planned for next week.

Week 3 will focus on the Fiction area and the Hurr Room.

What to expect this week:

  • Very limited seating, including tutoring space
  • Hurr Room closed
  • Friends ongoing book sale closed
  • No access to these collections: Fiction, Large Print, Manga, Graphic Novels, Paperbacks, and Library of Things
  • Limited access to: DVD’s, Books on CD, Non-Fiction.

Work is also moving ahead on other building and site projects. Planning is underway for roof replacement project in May, along with pothole repairs on Community Way.

Thank you for your patience as this work continues. We look forward to welcoming you back into these updated spaces soon.
