2027 Library Budget Vote & Trustee Election
The 2027 Library Budget Vote and Trustee Election are scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2026. Voting will take place at the library, with polls open from 9 a.m.- 8 p.m.
There will be two trustee seats on the ballot; one for a two-year term and one for a five-year term.

- July 22, 2026 (Trustee Packets available)
- August 24, 2026 (Budget Committee Meeting #3)
- September 10, 2026 (Budget Committee Meeting #4- if needed)
- September 15, 2026 (Presentation of 2027 Draft Budget to Library Board)
- October 13, 2026 (2027 Budget- Public Hearing followed by Budget Committee Meeting #5- if needed)
- October 17, 2027 (Trustee Petition Deadline- 5 p.m.)
- October 20, 2026 (Trustees Adopt Preliminary 2027 Budget to Present to the Community)
- October 22, 2026 (Tentative Trustee Candidate Forum)
- November 16, 2026 (2027 Library Budget & Trustee Election)
2026 Library Budget Vote & Trustee Election Results
The final results for the Library’s 2026 Budget Vote & Trustee Election, held in the library on Monday, November 17, 2025, were certified on November 24, 2025, by a representative from the League of Women Voters and notarized and filed by the Town Clerk.
Budget vote results:
- 340 votes in favor
- 223 votes opposed
The 2026 Library Budget in the amount of $2,878,395 has passed.
A second proposition on the ballot was the election of Trustees to fill three open positions on the Library Board of Trustees. The top two candidates with highest votes will serve 5-year terms, and candidate with the 3rd highest votes will serve a 2-year term. All terms will begin on January 1, 2026.

Update: Jordan White was appointed by the Library Board of Trustees to fill a one-year vacancy in 2026, which occurred after the election process was already underway. The remainder of the unexpired term will be placed on the ballot for the November 16, 2026 election.
