Friends Volunteer of the Year

Awarded to Julie Ann Price by the Upper Hudson Library System

Julie Ann began her involvement with the Friends of the Library as a member and quickly stepped into leadership roles as Book Sale Chair and President in 2018. She has cultivated a welcoming, collaborative team of volunteers and strengthened the Friends’ signature bi-annual book and media sales while launching innovative fundraising efforts, including an ongoing in-library book sale and a popular monthly themed raffle basket fundraiser.

As part of the library’s strategic planning efforts, she created The Great Greenbush Quest, a free, family-friendly community scavenger hunt that builds connections, supports local partners, and raises awareness of the Friends.

A passionate advocate, Julie Ann has led creative initiatives supporting the library’s budget vote and advocacy outreach, while also giving her time to other community organizations and leading the library’s twice-monthly Mahjong Learners Group—demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to service and community engagement.
