Volunteer of the Year: Jackson Murphy

Jackson Murphy was recognized for his service to the East Greenbush Community Library at the UHLS annual meeting on June 19, 2018, where he also received a resolution from NYS Senator Kathy Marchione. 

The library is proud to recognize Jackson Murphy for the energy and expertise he brought to our community members as the beloved film critic and host at our Day Before the Awards Film Festival, a program that he cultivated in collaboration with the library, and as Trivia Night host. Through engaging movie discussions and lively trivia programs, Jackson shared his passion for film while creating memorable experiences for our community.

His events drew enthusiastic audiences and quickly became crowd favorites, sparking thoughtful conversation, friendly competition, and plenty of fun. We’re grateful for the time and talent he shared with our library.
